Ben: "I'm not the Portland Trail Blazers GM so I'm not going to assess every player they have on the team." -- LeBron James to@dwightJaynes
CSN NW: Lebron @KingJames on @nicolas88batum and @wessywes2defense: "What do you want me to say?! I missed shots." None to pleased with questioning
ugh we've gotta go to Oracle tomorrow. I smell a bad loss.
@MattBRC I don't care. I really don't care. After tonight, I don't care.
And Oregon beat Arizona, woot!
I JUST GOT HIM, HOLY MOTHER OF GOD THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!
GOT HOME
@skywaker9 (David) And here I thought you had adopted the last Russian Putin is letting through...
@blazeraddict Ha.
did you mean to call him Christ Bosh in your recap Chris?
@MattBRC sure why not.
@christopher_m well I figured you probably would be able to spell your own name..
@MattBRC i changed it.
i love haralabob but it isn't like he's restrained in the coaches he praises, he's already given effusive praise to Woodson, Dunlap, and Vaughn along w/stalwarts like Popp.
and we all see how far Dunlap's awesome coaching has gone after a surprising start.
@christopher_m It's so hard to quantify coaching in this league.
I feel safe in saying certain guys have an impact on D and that Pop is a genius, but that's it.
@christopher_m Definitely true with Woodson, although I think Stotts was aided more by coming into a situation that'd bottomed out.
@AK1984 stotts and woodson are somewhat of an example of this maybe.
@AK1984 you can sometimes see when a coach gets guys to buy in too.
hey http://thepwe.com/fanposts/wut/
lol, the Blazers won? what the hell, man
@jakesnake99 Yeah it was a pretty entertaining game. Batum played like a boss.
@jakesnake99 i recommend watching it... or atleast the ending. Totally unexpected
TNT games must be so damn awful on the East coast.
@BrianGB Reminds me of baseball.
Those on the East Coast have to stay up 'til 1:00 a.m. when they're favorite team makes a West Coast swing.
The opposite occurs in football, with the Seahawks getting dicked into an early start this weekend.
@AK1984 10am games are great. wake up, have coffee, football and then the rest of your day
@jerod All I remember is Greg Olsen torching with pass catches up middle and Jordan Babineaux dropping a potential pick six that Cutler threw right at him.
@jerod The last 10 a.m. playoff game Seattle played was against Chicago a couple of years ago, so I can see why you'd think that. :)
@BrianGB Or the east globe
@BrianGB its rough
@BrianGB watching games are so hard out there in general. I'd have to catch the highlights in the morning.
Man, they said almost nothing about the game we just watched
20-15. Would not have predicted that.
@dario argento haha i don't think anybody did.
@christopher_m @dario argento I wonder if the game was close enough to move the pythag record from a +4 in luck to a +5 in luck.
@christopher_m @dario argento Looking at that roster, it's funny how Utah also had a rookie PG that season. Similar rosters in a lot of ways.
@christopher_m @dario argento Here's a close comparison.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/UTA/2006.html
@christopher_m @dario argento Looking through past NBA seasons, the most I believe I found was a +8 luck over 82 games.
@AK1984 @dario argento hmmm.
@christopher_m @dario argento There were quite a few predictions of sub-30 seasons
@Norsktroll @dario argento i thought 30 was about right, that is pretty unlikely now.
Hehe, just two days ago I was arguing with someone saying Batum wasn't nearly a top 5 SF...
So, Phil bet on the wrong horse...
@Norsktroll what was his bet? I saw y'all talking about it during the game but I wasn't around for the initial information earlier.
@BrianGB Miami beating the spread, I think it was 3.x or somesuch. And I think he bet around 600.
@dario argento @Norsktroll @BrianGB Betting on single NBA games would be emotionally draining, yeah. Except those who do it professionally and bet on like every game such as Haralabos Voulgaris, I'd venture to say it's no fun after a while.
Football, unlike basketball or baseball, it's built for betting single games.
@Norsktroll @BrianGB I bet once on an NBA game. It was lame. Robbed all of the enjoyment I get out of watching sports.
@Norsktroll @BrianGB Whoa.
@Norsktroll @BrianGB Yeah, it was a 3.5 point spread.
Once Portland got back into the game, Phil's best hope was OT and a strong showing by Miami in the extra frame.
@Norsktroll haha holy crap. Philol indeed.
@BrianGB @Norsktroll A few hundred, right?
@BrianGB @Norsktroll This, however, goes to show that betting on single NBA games can be tough.
If he wants to make his money back, I do suggest betting on the Seahawks money line at +115 to +120.
