@BrianGB Shouldn't it be bigger on the inside?
@BrianGB British, lots of booze, yeah I could see that. :-)
So I might have to try to connect with Hem in NYC...
So I'm going to this event a cousin of mine is throwing in NYC when I'm there in a week and a half:
http://www.facebook.com/events/388052321247866/
it must be stated that i really, truly, love Doctor Who.
@BrianGB Agreed.
@skywaker9 (David) @BrianGB Odd, you agreeing with him loving Doctor Who.
I successfully asked out my slightly taller acquaintance/sort of friend. Think my mind might be on the other girl too much to give this a fair chance of turning into anything, but we'll see. Have to move on at some point.
@jakesnake99 Yes I'm kind of drunk (hence the typos), what of it? :-)
@skywaker9 (David) I've had a few myself. More buzzed than truly drunk though.
@ian21 @skywaker9 (David) @jakesnake99 Good scotch is the best booze there is. There's nothing worse than bad scotch.
@skywaker9 (David) @jakesnake99 Nice... female scotch drinkers. They must be some good ones.
@jakesnake99 Buzzed is good.
@jakesnake99 Its my sister/mom's birthday tomorrow (yes my sister was born on my mom's birthday) so we had some scotch to celebrate that tonight, after alcohol earlier...
@jakesnake99 Best way to let go of a memory is to make a better one.
@jakesnake99 Nicely done, best of luck toyou...
After tonight I have to admit to someone how sick and twisted of a person I can be..
I just got some guy online that I didn't know and who thought I was someone else to give me his parents and sisters phone numbers and beg me not to have him arrested. Who does these things? #confessions
@dj idoltime Can you at least throw away my sister's phone number?
@dj idoltime hahaha. you are awful.
@dj idoltime ellipsis.
@BrianGB Just spent 30 seconds trying to imagine drawing out Alot of ellipses but it felt like a lifetime of amusement; regretfully, I am too lazy to manifest.
@dj idoltime haha, Alots! Alot of amusement would definitely be awesome.
not great timing my man http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle/post/_/id/37579/cam-newton-and-the-diversity-of-carolinas-zone-read-package
@christopher_m brown's stuff is awesome but that was the definition of a poorly timed article haha

@blazeraddict can we please get this done?
cause it deserves a new thread hello brian!
@christopher_m oh, hello.
@christopher_m Spurned by the very person you created it for
@TiMB i'm going to flag him and ban him, after I sleep all night.
Boise State just won while scoring 7 points, on a fat man TD...
BYU just went for two for some reason down 1 late. There's big balls and then there's being fucking stupid. That was the later.
@skywaker9 (David) on the road against a favored opponent? fine to disagree with it, but I don't see how its clearly the wrong call at all.
@jakesnake99 Not a risk I would have taken, look I know your offense sucks ass but I would have gone to OT vs. a shitty kicker..
@skywaker9 (David) I don't think it was a bad call. They had momentum. If they thought they had >50% chance of scoring there, it was the right call. However, the coach will get ripped for it, and this is exactly why coaches are too conservative.
@Dan_tm @skywaker9 (David) If there is any time on the clock I think you go right?
@Dan_tm Once you miss it, gah..
@Dan_tm Once missing it, should have onside kicked it.
@Dan_tm With no timeouts and the other team having a shitty kicker, I wouldn't go for it..
@skywaker9 (David) Nothing better than a typo when calling people stupid : P
Sixers tried to steal Masai.....that shows he's got some standing already.
that oscar goal is the early favorite for goal of the year.
@christopher_m Yeah, that was pretty outrageous to strike that how he did on the fly.
@TiMB crazy vision to see both the space and then the shot.
@BrianGB @christopher_m @TiMB gahhhhhhhhhhhhhh that touch to set up that goal off the long ball is impressive
@TiMB @BrianGB One Wilshere comes back obviously he's another option.
@TiMB @BrianGB right now arsenal is much stronger wide with since that is the natural position for Ox Gervinho Podolski Walcott, I don't even know what they'd do if Cazorla got hurt. Arteta could try in that role but I wouldn't like it.
@TiMB @BrianGB seems like a natural winger to me that Wenger is turning into a striker. But the thing is it ain't like basketball, with injuries and rotation you need at least 6-7 strong players for the 4 attacking positions.
@TiMB @BrianGB i dunno, his shooting has been so fucking awful for so long it's hard for me to imagine he ever striked anything.
@TiMB @BrianGB yeah, like Henry for example. hahaha. or in prime Drogba.
@christopher_m @BrianGB Where does Gervinho usually play? He's a converted striker too right?
@TiMB @BrianGB yeah like Podolski and Walcott are both striker/wingers, not imposing or skilled enough in space to play in the middle but not really wingers either (Podolski's too slow, Walcott can't consistently beat a guy 1 on 1). So they work as wide strikers in a 4-3-3 but you still need a central striker.
@christopher_m @BrianGB It was great when the big guy was just fast as well, and talented as heck. Sigh.
@TiMB @BrianGB he's got to be better holding the ball up though, that's the real key. Arsenal's game has never been cross to the big guy to thump it in, it's have the big guy draw attention while the small guys sneak through the channels. Or don't play a big guy at all, but that causes other problems.
@christopher_m @BrianGB Yeah, I'll keep the faith cos I like the idea of the tall goalscorer over converting speeding guys who have been best on the wing.
@TiMB @BrianGB Giroud was outstanding for the French champions last year, 21 goals 9 assists, and the French league is physical, fast and competitive. The English league is even faster though, adjusting as quickly as Cazorla and Podloski have is an anamoly.
@christopher_m @BrianGB I guess we just go with what's working atm and hope Giroud gets up to speed. In theory a 6'4 guy in the middle who can finish would be nice....just seems like he's a step slow everywhere though.
@TiMB @BrianGB thing is though cazorla is such an upgrade at #10 (never felt like Nasri or Fabregas were comfortable in that spot) having slightly less creativity at #9 isn't such a death blow.
@TiMB @BrianGB yeah his problem is he's still too dependent on speed, he doesn't have the link up skills to be worth putting in the middle, but he can still run off the last defender and scare teams shitless. Someone like Robert Lewandowski is very middle class in both price tag and ability, but middle class is Chamakh and Giroud...
@christopher_m @BrianGB I shouldn't really complain....new workmate is an avid Liverpool fan. Their striker needs are immense compared to Arsenal's.
@christopher_m @BrianGB Yeah that's my favourite idea but is he likely to be any different to Gervinho? Both are quick and can finish but Walcott makes some weird decisions. I remember liking him more last time I was paying attention....he never really developed much.
@TiMB @BrianGB convert walcott.
@christopher_m @BrianGB I like how you're thinking. Is there a realistic target for Arsenal striker wise in the next transfer window? I'm not keen on rotating Giroud and Gervinho fr the rest of the season...
@TiMB @BrianGB you would have to buy their team then sell him to yourself as owner of the team.
@christopher_m @BrianGB Hahaha. Is there enough money in the world to make that worth it for Barcelona?
@TiMB @BrianGB fuck it get messi
@christopher_m @BrianGB Yeah but fuck that guy
@TiMB @BrianGB you know who's unhappy is fabregas
@christopher_m @BrianGB Is Ronaldo still unhappy? He could help out if we have a spare $100 mil sitting around. Heard he's useful...
@TiMB @BrianGB freddie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPmg9jTkyfc
@TiMB @BrianGB at that time though the english scouting of international talent was pretty pathetic though.
@TiMB @BrianGB yeah i mean that front 4 we were just talking about + paddy + always a fantastic defense, really truly invincible.,
@christopher_m @BrianGB (that has nothing to do with the Viera comment but this has sent me down a memory lane of looking through old Arsenal squads)
@christopher_m @BrianGB I think being an Arsenal fan in the 95-05 era sorta spoiled me. I expect us to have superstars and we just don't.
@TiMB @BrianGB paddy was a giant in every way. well not that i would know personally but it stands to reason...
@christopher_m @BrianGB Freddie was awesome to watch. Henry is tall at least...amazingly co-ordinated for as lanky as he was, really.
@BrianGB @TiMB yeah that is great, the funny part is at the beginning apparently he is saying "I have a feeling we are going to score..."
@christopher_m @TiMB (showed this to Tim the other day, but...) one of my favorite commentary moments ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azUgsIkBGYc
@TiMB @BrianGB players from back in the day always feel like they were physically larger even though they weren't haha, feels like Henry/Ljungberg/Pires/Bergkamp all should have been giants even though Ljungberg's like 5'8".
@TiMB @BrianGB http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4RCBc_6490
@TiMB @BrianGB Pires >>>>>>>>>>>
@TiMB yeah I think Arsenal could stand to spend a little more but the economist in Wenger sees 25m as worth more than a season of VP, which is probably the right call but you're not winning a title like that.
@christopher_m @BrianGB I'm not watching that traitor's goals. OTOH, I still adore Henry. No hypocrisy at all.
@christopher_m Yeah, both of those guys have looked like great signings so far but....the Manc teams don't have to sell a player to create money for others and neither should we given that we're better run/more profitable than most.
@BrianGB @TiMB :D :D
@christopher_m @TiMB TL;DW
@TiMB @BrianGB blammo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVzsSNDWRig
@TiMB @BrianGB ashley cole was also a arsenal youth but probably before wenger
@BrianGB @christopher_m I don't blame you for being a United fan, I blame your upbringing : P
@TiMB yeah but they used the RVP money to buy Cazorla and Podolski, them's the breaks...
as far as recent academy grads, cesc was bought at 16 and did one year in the youth team, otherwise wilshere, gibbs, then it's down to journeyment types like David Bentley, Seb Larsson and Bendtner
@BrianGB @christopher_m (j/k, of course you are)
@TiMB @christopher_m :(((((((((((((
@BrianGB @christopher_m YOU'RE NOT WELCOME IN THIS CONVERSATION.
@TiMB @christopher_m RVP RVP RVP!
@christopher_m Yeah...forgot Walcott was bought. Seems like Arsenal should be fun to watch this season but I can't help but feel like the lack of a star striker will make the campaign come up short of a title or any other silverware. Kinda sucks considering we had RVP.
@TiMB walcott isn't an arsenal youth product though, he was bought from Southampton as a ballyhooed prospect a la Rooney, some of the Arsenal youth guys have panned out OK but for other teams, it isn't a huge shame to not be able to produce multiple players who are CL level... that is hard to do.
@christopher_m Yeah, I don't know much about the last few years but that does seem to be the tendency. Who was the last great youth player Arsenal had turn out? Walcott is decent and Wilshere was supposed to be amazing but other than that I dunno who we've had come through.
@TiMB Interesting thing with Wenger's track record is for all the talk about the youth stuff his best record for signing players is underappreciated guys who are already in their 20s mostly.
@TiMB podolski has been very nice, he is being put in positions to succeed which is good.
@christopher_m Yep, the angle and curve on the shot was absurd...was almost running at right angles to the goal before he struck it.
BTW, I'm enjoying having a weapon like Podolski's shot on our side. Been as impressive as Giroud has been unimpressive so far.
