If Milwaukee is afraid Brandon Jennings will bolt and isn't a core piece to build around, then using him to dump Drew Gooden and S-Jax in a deal is fine practice. A return of Pau Gasol is odd, but it goes in line with the Bucks wanting to tread water as they have the past few years.
For the Lakers, I think management feels they need a point guard so bad that moving Gasol for Jennings is worth it. Not sure how all the pieces would fit in a Jennings/Kobe/S-Jax/Gooden/Bynum lineup, though.
@SammyThunderer @Norsktroll I'm not big on Jennings, either. However, he's the kind of guy who has more trade/perceived value in a lot of cases than actual on-court value.
