@TiMB I wonder what it'd've taken to move up to #8, since Toronto could've moved back and still got Terrence Ross.
@TiMB Yeah, something like a second-rounder -- which was dealt for cash anyhow -- combined with E-Will or Nolan probably could've done it.
@TiMB Yeah, Greg Monroe should be able to handle playing the 4. He's more of a high-post player on offense, while his defense is poor despite his position. All in all, Drummond and Monroe should be a good fit together.
@Tony K. Main question for Detroit if Drummond pans out is whether Monroe is mobile enough to play PF. I think it's doable.
@Tony K. Yup. I think it could've been done for fairly low cost. I don't expect Drummond to be great this season but you can see just from watching him for the 10 minutes he's been out there what he's capable of. He has bankable NBA level skills too, as he's an elite shot-blocker and offensive rebounder, as well as being a good post defender already. He was the sort of gamble we should've looked to take.
Figured the Nats might do an 08/09 Blazers but the last couple games have been painful. Hard to foresee the pitching and the offense going in the tank.
Cripes, I forgot Bob Melvin manages the A's.
Has the road team ever won every game in a Divisional Series? San Fran and Cincy are on pace to do that if the Giants win Game 5.

hoo boy. had to listen to half of that game on am radio with a walkman. At one point the satellite feed cut out due to "sunspots." What the heck. But then it turned out the Giants played better when I didn't listen. So I turned it off. That worked out well.
