Pinwheel Empire is a social Blazers site which aims to bring fans together in a unique and new community. It's run by a bunch of volunteer gerbils all over the world. We're new, trying to cross the Rubicon and do something different – it's an evolving process with a lot of small victories and defeats.
What an interesting NBA season. It’ll be interesting to see what new frontiers the former king of choke has in store for him. Only time will tell..

6: Damian Liillard - I'm sold. I think his game translates to the pros, he offers a nice combination of upside and decent floor, says all the right things about coming to Portland.
11: Meyers Leonard - I think in 2/3 years, he could be Tyson Chandler with more offensive game.

@Tony K. By the same token, it's not common knowledge like "Tebow's a Christian", "Lin is Chinese", or "Austin is Doc's son". Intent matters in these things

@Tony K. @jakesnake99 MKG is one of those guys I find impossible to guess with, because he's all about tools and work ethic. The popular thinking is that he'll work tirelessly to improve himself. I guess that's why the Pippen comparison is thrown around.
lillard, mkg, beal, barnes, throb, and lamb all have more upside than waiters IMO. i just don't see it at all with him tbh

@jakesnake99 I disagree on Beal and MKG based on age and upside but Barnes had two years and didn't prove much. Waiters gets to the rim at will, which could make him dynamite if it translates. I'm not confident enough to want him at 6 over Lillard or Drummond but he could be pretty good.
Then again he could be Bayless....not bad but not top 5 worthy at all.
@jakesnake99 @TiMB Yeah, I can actually see Cleveland justifiably taking Waiters at #4. His upside is possibly the second highest behind Davis.
@TiMB I prefer Waiters to Barnes, Beal and MKG.

Otay, friends. It's been too short, but I have a long day tomorrow (and unfortunately will be watching the draft on DVR starting about 8:00 PM - I hope I can remain unspoiled until then).
Before I go, though, although the formal announcement will be soon, I guess I can let you in on this - Basketballreference.com will be "leasing" my salary information. I've been working with them over the last couple of months on formatting the data and we finally (I hope) got all the kinks out. Not sure exactly how it will look on their site, but it's a privilege to be working with them (and for them to have asked me to partner with them).
I'll let you know when it's 'official'......
